Drake Announces the Release Date for His Next Album ‘More Life’

Drake has finally announced the day he will launch his next album, More Life.

While many people speculated, Drake took to Instagram on Saturday to reveal the day his new album will become available.

The Grammy award winning, platinum selling recording artist announced he was close to finishing the album earlier this week.

“I know it’s taken me a while, but I’m going to the hotel tonight to finish this More Life sh*t so I can give it to you as soon as possible,” he said in Germany while on his Boy Meets World Tour. “I hope you’re ready to enjoy some new music.”

More Life was announced last October and was expected to be released by the end of 2016. However, the released was pushed back until 2017. But, according to Drake’s Instagram post, the release date will be moved to March 18th.

So what can we expect in the new Drake album? Expect more of a “mixtape” sound than an actual album, according to Drizzy Drake.

“It’s just an evolution of the mixtape,” Drake said in an interview on OVOSOUND Radio. “It was getting tough to be like, ‘I’m dropping a mixtape, but it’s for sale on iTunes.’ It was like, ‘Oh, that’s your album.’ I didn’t want people to say this is my next album. Views was my album. This is something that, after Views, I was just inspired. I wanted to keep the music flowing.”

Expect to hear features with Jennifer Lopez, The Weeknd, and 21 Savage.
