In a series of shocking incidents, an emotionally disturbed individual attacked three unrelated people with a straight-edge razor in Queens, New York. The unprovoked attacks, which began on a subway train, have summarily triggered unease among locals.
Start of Subway Assaults
The deranged individual initiated his attack spree aboard the E train headed to Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer station at around 8:20 a.m., police reported. One of his victims, a 45-year-old man, was randomly chosen and endured cuts to his left ear and arm. Street Attacks Continue
After commencing his string of senseless assaults on the train, the man then moved his rampage to the streets. Police authorities have confirmed his next target was a 23-year-old man. The unsuspecting victim was walking near 27th St. and 43rd Ave. when he was slashed on the left side of his face. Shortly afterwards, the attacker found his third victim, a 32-year-old man whom he sliced across the right side of his face near the same location.

Victims Rushed to Medical Assistance
First responders raced to the scene to provide immediate medical attention to the wounded. The 23-year-old victim was ferried to the NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Medical Center while the 32-year-old was rushed to NYC Health+Hospitals Elmhurst. The subway assault victim, a45-year-old man, sought out private medical aid at NYC Health+Hospitals/Queens. Police authorities report all three individuals are currently stable.
Suspect Undergoes Evaluation
The perpetrator was also transported to NYC Health+Hospitals Elmhurst but for a different reason. He was set to undergo a thorough psychological evaluation. As of now, charges against him are yet to be defined.
Previous Day Murder Raises Tensions
The morning’s slashing incidents occurred less than 24 hours post a brutal subway stabbing in Washington Heights, where victiJohnny Medina tragically lost his life. In this case, the police apprehended Diego Figueroa-Hepner, aged 24, linking him with the murder and illegal weapons possession. This additional act of extreme violence adds to the unease in the community.
