Hey, it’s buzzing in the entertainment world as the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards takes center stage. The award night came alive once again after a series of Hollywood labor strikes caused a bit of a delay in 2023. Guess what? None other, Eugene Levy and his son Dan Levy, took up the reins as hosts to navigate the star-studded night.
Big Night for Shōgun and Hacks
Before the event, two shows created a buzz as they had the most nominations. Shōgun dominated with 25 nods while The Bear barely trailed behind with 23. So, who won big? Let’s walk through the winners of the Emmy Awards night together.
In the Outstanding Drama Series category, Shōgun lived up to the hype as it clinched the prized award. Its fellow nominees included megahits like The Crown, The Morning Show, and The Gilded Age to name a few. Interestingly, Shōgun was not done just yet! Anna Sawai of Shōgun bagged the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama, while Hiroyuki Sanada, also from Shōgun, won the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama.
A Crown and The Morning Glow
