Shia LaBeouf Arrested – Actor Arrested for Public Drunkeness in Georgia

Earlier this month I reported Shia LaBeouf is now working in Savannah, Georgia for his new movie Peanut Butter Falcon. Then, on Saturday actor LaBeouf was arrested for public drunkenness.

LaBeouf was taken into custody around 4 a.m. and was released later Saturday from Chatham County Detention Center after posting a $7,000 bond, according to the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office.

The actor reportedly approached a bystander and a police officer asking for a cigarette and became disorderly, used profanities and vulgar language when they did not give the actor a cigarette, according to a statement from the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department.

LaBeouf was then told to leave the area but refused and became aggressive towards the police officer, according to the Savannah police department.

In a police statement the Georgia police department said “ “When the officer attempted to place LaBeouf under arrest, LaBeouf ran to a nearby hotel. LaBeouf was arrested in the hotel lobby, where his disorderly behavior continued.”

This is not the first time LaBeouf was arrested. In January, he was arrested in New York City after police said he got into an argument with a man during his art exhibit. Those charges were later dismissed. However, He was arrested for public intoxication in 2015 and had a DUI in 2008 in Texas and California, respectively.

In 2014, LaBeouf was charged and plead guilty to one count of disorderly conduct following an argument at a Broadway theater. The actor agreed to get treatment as part of the settlement related to the Broadway incident.

LaBeouf is now filming The Peanut Butter Falcon alongside Dakota Johnson.

The Peanut Butter Falcon centers around a crab fisher as he starts on a journey to get a young man with Down syndrome into a professional wrestling school in rural North Carolina and away from the retirement home where he’s lived most of his life. The movie is written and directed by Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz.

Disney Channels Ratings Drop by Double-Digits

Kids nowadays may still be interested in sitting in front of a screen and watching TV, but unlike previous generations, they are not waking up and watching the Disney Channel. In fact, according to a Wall Street Journal report, ratings at Disney are dropping across the company’s channels including Disney Channel and Freeform.

WSJ reports that the first six months of 2017, the networks saw viewership drop by double digits among their target demographics.

“We see the migration,” Disney Channel president Gary Marsh told WSJ. “One of the challenges is trying to serve the viewership where they’re going as opposed to trying to drive them where we want them to go.”

WSJ reports 26% of Disney’s cable revenue and profits come from television, which includes Disney Channel and Freeform, but without hit TV shows the company could be experiencing a drop in merchandising profits originating from popular programs.

Unlike their parents’ generation, kids now have Amazon, Netflix and YouTube to watch programming and no longer have to sit through hours of re-runs because that is the only kid show on television.

Disney’s other issue is that the company has not been able to release a breakout hit since Miley Cyrus’s Hannah Montana, Selena Gomez’s Wizards of Waverly Place and the Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

Following several open casting calls, Disney is hoping the upcoming That’s So Raven spin-off, and a stand-alone mobile app will help increase viewers among their key demographics.

But, it is important to point out that Disney is not the only company hurt by the digital entertainment revolution. Primetime viewing has dropped by 34% in the past years for people ages 2 to 34 years old.

You can now snort chocolate for energy. Coko Loko is a sortable chocolate powder that mixes cacao with ingredients found in energy drinks. The product debuted last month and is a legal, drug-free way to get a boost of energy. But should you snort chocolate? Doctors have voiced their concerns about the safety risk of putting chocolate up someone’s nose.

Coco Look was created by Nick Anderson, a 29-year-old entrepreneur who previously released the product Legal Lean – a product that is marketed as a legal safer version of codeine cough syrup. Legal Lean was sold as a stress reliever to help people “relax the mind.” But, Anderson is looking to give consumers a different kind of experience with Coco Loko. Coco Loko contains gingko bilbos, taurine, and guarana. Those ingredients are typically found in products like Red Bull and Monster energy drinks. The results of snorting Coco Loko results in an energy kick that can last between 30 minutes to an hour, triggering an endorphin rush without the side effects of a sugar crash.

Anderson told the Denver Post, “It’s almost like an energy-drink feeling like you’re euphoric but also motivated to get things done.”

Coko Look uses cacao, which is made at a lower heat than cocoa and retains more nutrients. However, medical professionals are concerned about the product’s other ingredients including Taurine and Guarana. Both ingredients have been known to increase blood pressure and cause heart palpitations, and doctors are leery about the negative side effects the ingredients will cause when the product is snorted.

“There are a few obvious concerns,” Dr. Andrew Lane, director of the Johns Hopkins Sinus Center, told the Denver Post. “First, it’s not clear how much of each ingredient would be absorbed into the nasal mucous membranes. And, well, putting solid material into your nose — you could imagine it getting stuck in there, or the chocolate mixing with your mucus to create a paste that could block your sinuses.”

A major dark web marketplace that serves as the platform for the selling and purchasing of drugs other illegal items, AlphaBay Market, went down on Thursday and users are afraid the moderators have shut down the website for good and took off running with the money.

What is AlphaBay Market?

AlphaBay launched three years ago, and the marketplace has been down since Thursday evening. AlphaBay is known to be a pretty reliable market with a 97% uptime, according to Dark Net Stats.

What happened to AlphaBay Market?

Details surrounding what happened have not been revealed. However, users came across a massive bitcoin withdrawal coming from what many people believe to be one of AlphaBay’s addresses. The removal is worth nearly $4 million. This news along with silence from AlphaBay staff on Reddit has led many people to believe they are experiencing an exit scam.

Users of AlphaBayMarket took to Reddit to complain about the lack of customer service. One Reddit user wrote, “HEY MAN WHAT IS PISSING ME OFF IS WHY NOBODY FROM SUPPORT POST SOME F—ING UPDATE HERE TO CALM DOWN EVERYBODY ABOUT WHAT’S GOING ON MAN ????”

That said, as one Redditor pointed out, “You have no rights…It’s a risk you take so don’t get mad when something happens.”

It is important to point out that this is not the first time admins of a popular darknet black market pulled an exit scam. For example, in 2015 the dark web marketplace Evolution disappeared in 2015, with administrators taking off with customer’s bitcoins in the process. However, at this point in time, it is not clear whether or not AlphaBay Market organizers plan on following in Evolution’s footsteps.

But, if AlphaBay Market admins decided to pull out of their drug selling marketplace it would not be that surprising. A single Bitcoin is now worth over $2,500. In fact, CNBC reports the value of Bitcoin could double and reach $5,000 soon.

‘STAR’ Season 2 is Now Filming in Atlanta

Fox’s hit TV series Star is now in production. According to Project Casting, casting directors are now hiring background actors to work on the new season of the hit Lee Daniels production. Producers are looking for newborns, nurses, and doctors for featured roles. Filming is expected to begin shooting July 19th in Atlanta, Georgia.

Star was created by Lee Daniels and Tom Donaghy for Fox. The TV series centers around three talented young singers who attempt to break through into the music industry. The show, which is set in Atlanta, features original music and appearances by famous musical artists. The TV series stars Queen Latifah, Benjamin Pratt, Amiyah Scott and Quincy Brown.

The show premiered in 2016 and broke barriers in the film industry with Amiyah Scott becoming the third openly transgender actor to play a leading trans character in a scripted TV drama in America. Fox renewed the series for a second season last September.

Star is a hit TV series. The show’s premiere had a jaw-dropping 8.56 million viewers.

When the show was renewed for a second season Fox entertainment president David Madden said in a statement, “Lee Daniels is a true visionary and he and Tom Donaghy have delivered a series with a unique and meaningful point of view. Our incredible cast, led by Queen Latifah and Benjamin Bratt, instantly infused their characters with tremendous depth and passion, and the show has proved to be both powerful and really entertaining.”

Madden added, “We are thrilled that this Star will continue to shine for a second season.”

YouTube Star Stevie Ryan Dead by Apparent Suicide

Famous YouTube star, Stevie Ryan, has been found dead in her Los Angeles, California home. The 33-year-old internet star died on July 1st by hanging, according to the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office, which listed the cause of death as a suicide.

Ryan, whose YouTube popularity landed her own TV series in 2012 on VH1, Stevie TV, previously discussed with her YouTube followers her struggles with depression. She had co-hosted a podcast called “Mentally (Ch)ill,” according to The Daily Beast.

Her final post on Twitter, which was written a day before she died, was dedicated to her late grandfather.

“The man of my dreams will now only be in my dreams,” Ryan wrote. “I’ll miss you everyday, forever. I love you my Pa.”

Why ‘Hawaii Five-0’ Asian Stars Quit the Show

Two of the leading actors on Hawaii Five-0 are leaving the show because they are paid less than their white co-stars.

According to Variety, Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park, are leaving the hit CBS series after seven years because they were unable to negotiate the same pay as their white co-stars Alex O’Loughlin and Scott Caan.

Apparently, the two actors were offered around 10 to 15% less than O’Loughlin and Caan.

All four of the cast members have starred on the show since it debuted in 2010.

CBS issued a statement on the situation.

“We are so appreciative of Daniel and Grace’s enormous talents, professional excellence and the aloha spirit they brought to each and every one of our 168 episodes,” the statement read.

“They’ve helped us build an exciting new Hawaii Five-0, and we wish them all the best and much success in their next chapters. Mahalo and a hui hou…”

Hawaii Five-0 centers around Steve McGarett who travels to Oahu to find his father’s killer. The governor then offers him the chance to run his own task force.

Kim’s and Park’s characters, Chin Ho Kelly and Kono Kalakaua, will not appear in the show’s eighth season.

Vlogger accidentally poisons herself while eating a plant on live stream.

According to reports, a blogger accidentally poisoned herself while eating what she thought was an Aloe Vera plant. The Chinese internet star, who goes by the name of Ms. Zhang, was live streaming herself demonstrating the benefits of the plant. However, she purchased the wrong type of plant, which did not have any health benefits at all. In fact, it was poisonous.

Apparently, the 26-year-old ate an Agave Americana, a poisonous plant from Mexico.

The video has gone viral on Chinese websites, after it had become apparent she poisoned herself. At first, Ms. Zhang is heard saying “yum” then she realized there was a problem, complaining the plant tastes bitter.

She quit her live stream and immediately went to the hospital because her mouth had gone numb and her throat was burning.

The Shanghaisst reported that doctors found the video blogger with rashes and blisters and were forced to pump her stomach. She is reportedly now in stable condition. The agave plant is typically used to make tequila. However, according to

Will Ferrell’s ‘The House’ Flops at the Box Office

Will Ferrell suffers one of the worst box office earnings of his career; Despicable Me 3 crushes the competition and Baby Driver shocks and surprises audiences this week at the box office.

Despicable Me 3 won the weekend box office destroying the competition with an opening at about $82 million, making it the sixth biggest opening of the year. That number is on par with Despicable Me 2 but lags behind the Minions movie, which made a jaw-dropping $115 million opening weekend in July of 2015. That said, it continues on an undefeated streak for Illumination Entertainment, which creates computer animated movies for about half of what Pixar does and still earns as much money. Essentially, Despicable Me 3 is a winning brand, and while their movies are not targeted towards adults, kids seem to love these films.

Meanwhile, Edgar Wright and his Atlanta-filmed movie Baby Driver, hit theaters this weekend. The movie not only earned Wright the best opening weekend of his career but it also made $27 million, which is only $4 million short of his cumulative gross for any film Wright has directed. In fact, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World earned $31 million in 2010.

Transformers: The Last Knight dropped 64% in the box office with a $16 million second weekend. After ten days, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has earned $291 million. Overseas, Transformers made $200 million in its opening week alone.

Fourth place goes to Wonder Woman, which continues to dominate in the box office. Wonder Woman added another $15 million making it the highest-grossing live-action movie ever by a female director and the highest grossing movie in the DC Extended Universe, beating Batman vs. Superman and Suicide Squad.

Cars 3 took fifth place this weekend, falling to $10 million after Despicable Me 3 hit theaters and took out their target audience. It has earned $121 million domestically, but, the movie will improve once the film is released overseas.

Finally, in at sixth place is the weekend’s huge disappointment, The House, which cost more money than Baby Driver and featured bigger actors, but only made a fraction of Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver. The House starred Will Ferrel, Amy Poehler and cost $40 million dollars to make but, the movie finished with only $9.3 million. The House made less money than Will Ferrell’s first movie, A Night at the Roxbury. Excluding low-budget films and supporting roles, it is the smallest opening weekend of Will Ferrell’s career. The movie currently has a 17% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Next weekend, Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters.

Ancient Tower of Human Skulls Discovered in Mexico City

Human skulls were discovered underneath Mexico City, which is now prompting questions about the culture of death, sacrifice, and religion in the Aztec Empire. Archaeologists have found more than 650 skulls and thousands of fragments near the site of the Templo Mayor, one of the main temples of the Aztec capital Tenochtitlan.

The tower of human skulls is believed to form part of the Huey Tzompantli, an array of skulls that frightened Spanish conquistadors when they captured the city under the leadership of Hernan Cortes.

Andres de Tapia, a soldier who fought with Cortes in during the conquest of Mexico in the 1500s, recorded the structure claiming there were thousands of skulls lining the city, archaeologist Raul Barrera told Reuters. Now, Barrera believes they will continue to find more skulls as the excavation continues.

Archaeologists began excavation of the old city in 2015, and it was previously believed the skulls only belonged to male warriors killed in combat. However, the discovery of young and female skulls has left archaeologists confused about the culture of the Aztec empire.

A biological anthropologist involved in the study said, “We were expecting just men, obviously young men, as warriors would be, and the thing about the women and children is that you’d think they wouldn’t be going to war.”

“Something is happening that we have no record of, and this is really new, a first in the Huey Tzompantli,” he added.

The Aztec empire existed from the 1300s to the mid-1500s. The Aztec culture is known most notably for the archaeological evidence found in excavations. One of the most famous excavations is the Templo Mayor in Mexico City. The temple was dedicated to two gods, the god of war and the god of rain and agriculture. The temple was later destroyed by the Spanish in 1521 to make a new cathedral.
