Jessica Alba’s The Honest Company Recalls Baby Wipes for Mold

Jessica Alba’s company, The Honest Company, announced on Monday that the firm is voluntarily recalling certain types of baby wipes. The company explained that they voluntarily recall the baby wipes due to the possible presence of mold. In a statement, the company said, “We believe the affected product is not likely to cause adverse health consequences; however, impacted wipes do have a spotted discoloration and the aesthetics are unacceptable.”

The company added, “Out of an abundance of caution, The Honest Company has decided to recall certain lots of this product voluntarily.”

The wipes are included in the company’s Honest Diaper Cakes, Baby Basics Gift Set and the Baby Arrival Gift Set.

At this time, no other Honest Company products are involved in this recall and consumers may return the affected products to where they purchased the product for a full refund.

To determine if your product is included in the recalls, the company asks customers to enter their lot number in a search field, which can be found on their website.

It is important to note that Jessica Alba’s company has faced several lawsuits in the past of the effectiveness of their products. Moreover, last January the company conducted a voluntary recall of their organic baby powder over concerns that the product caused eye and skin infections. The company was sued in 2015 after a consumer said that the products contain “unnatural” and “synthetic” ingredients, and the company’s sunscreen is “ineffective.”
