Hey folks, attention all actors, models, and budding talent in and around Chicago, Illinois! Here’s your chance to work on scenes for an upcoming TV series. A casting call is currently on, searching for a Caucasian male stand-in. This role is to help with lighting and color blocking on set.
Role Specifications and Responsibilities
Here’s a quick rundown of what you’d be doing. The role demands standing in for a lead actor while the technical crew does their thing. That includes setting up lighting, adjusting camera angles, and doing other tech-preparations.
Your job is to help maintain the scene’s continuity, which means you’ll need to mirror the actor’s actions. Think you can do that? Keep reading.
Also, be prepared to stay on set for the entire scheduled shoot- night shoots and the occasional Saturday included. Don’t worry, though – it’s going to be a fun experience!
Being a stand-in isn’t just about standing around. You’ll need to follow all directions from the director and cinematography team accurately and promptly. It’s key to be attentive, folks!
Who Can Apply
Now let’s talk about who this role is for. You need to be a male, Caucasian, and in the height range of 5’9′ to 5’11’. Your hair should be grey, or salt and pepper. A lean body type is ideal, with weight ranging between 150 to 175 lbs.

Are you reliable, punctual, and take your work seriously? Great! Previous experience as a stand-in might be a bonus. However, it’s not a hard and fast requirement- newbies are welcome too!
Payments and Perks
Let’s talk about pay now. The rate is $180 for the first 8 hours, with extra for hours worked beyond the 8 hours a day. Sounds good, right?
