Netflix’s One Piece Live-Action Series Boosts Cast with Game of Thrones Star Clive Russell

New Cast Members for One Piece: Who’s In?

Netflix is making some exciting changes to its live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s epic anime, One Piece. They’ve added new members to their cast, including a famous face from Game of Thrones! Clive Russell, who played Brynden Tully in the fan-favorite HBO series, joins the One Piece crew for the upcoming season.

Russell isn’t the only new star on board. We’ve got a whole list of actors ready to become the infamous Baroque Works, a notorious criminal gang. Oh, and there’s yet another surprise in the new cast lineup.

Clive Russell Steps into the Role of Crocus

Russell’s role in One Piece is quite an important one. He’ll be bringing to life the character of Crocus. That’s right, the trustworthy doctor for the Roger Pirates and faithful caretaker of Laboon. Fans love Crocus for his frequent funny moments with Zoro and Sanji from the Straw Hat Pirates.

The internet went crazy when the news broke out. Fans couldn’t help but praise the choice of casting Russell as Crocus. They are eagerly waiting to see how he recreates those beloved scenes from the manga and anime.

New Faces on the Block

Barely had this news stirred up a storm when Netflix dropped another bombshell. They revealed even more stars lined up to be the notorious Baroque Works. We’ve got David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, and Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9.

But wait, there’s more! The official One Piece live-action account also announced three more additions to the roster. Werner Coetser will play giant Dorry, and Brendan Murray will play giant Brogy.

With these announcements, it is clear that two new story arcs are on the way. The Little Garden arc featuring giants Dorry and Brogy is coming up. Plus, the Reverse Mountain arc introducing Crocus and Laboon is on its way.

What’s Got the Fans Excited?

The new cast additions are certainly thrilling, but the fans are more psyched about the scenes from the manga and anime being brought to life. Everyone is talking about the hilarious chat between Crocus, Sanji, and Zoro at the Twin Cape Lighthouse.

To add to the hype, the humor-filled scene will feature Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro and Taz Skylar as Vinsmoke Sanji. Fans are confident that Russell will nail the role of Crocus and can’t help but notice his striking similarity to the character.
